TS CETs,DOST and Online Classes Update
The State government on Monday finalised a schedule for the Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) 2020.
The entrance examination for the engineering stream has been decided to be held on September 9, 10, 11 and 14.
As the matter of conducting Common Entrance Tests (CETs) is in the High Court, necessary permission will be obtained from the court for conducting the entrance examinations.
This schedule has been finalised during a high-level committee meeting chaired by Education Minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy with senior officials of the education department.
Similarly, the Engineering Common Entrance Test and Polytechnic Common Entrance Test will be conducted on August 31 and September 2 respectively.
According to a senior official, the dates for holding AM stream of the EAMCET too would be finalised soon.
“The AM stream of EAMCET will be held after the NEET on September 13. The service provider does not have test slots for conducting the exams.
Depending on the availability of the slots, we will schedule all the entrance examinations. These tests may be held on consecutive dates,” a senior official said.
A schedule for degree admissions through the Degree Online Services, Telangana (DOST) 2020 has also been finalised to commence from August 20.
Meanwhile, starting from August 20, students of Classes VI to X in government schools will have digital classes whereas for Classes III to V, digital classes will begin from September 1.
The digital classes will be aired through Doordarshan and T-SAT network channels. Likewise, digital classes for intermediate students will begin from August 17 and admissions to the first year intermediate streams will begin after September 1.
Teachers attendance to the tune of 50 per cent has been made mandatory from August 17.
